Hi guys,
I’m an international student interested in transferring to UMich but I have some questions regarding the transfer process.
I majored in business management and got 3.97 gpa (30 credits) and want to transfer to LSA 2021 winter term, undeclared or econ (I’m currently taking a break because of the mandatory military service of Korea)
Transferring from: out-of-state 4-yr college (top 130ish), management major
Applying for: UMichigan LSA undeclared or econ (I’m not interested in business anymore so…)
stats:
-college GPA : 3.97 (got 7 A+s)
-hs gpa: not sure because I went to a Korean high school but probably 3.5ish (I went to a pretty cut-throat school)
-credits:30 (some of them are not transferrable)
-Dean’s List x2 semesters
-TOEFL: 107
college EC’s:
-one month internship at an umbrella organization of an international organization
-helped a board meeting of an international organization (1 week)
-did math tutor for a semester (campus job)
-worked for the student journal for a semester
-played the cello in the student orchestra for a year (I’ve been playing cello for more than 10 years)
-1st place in freshman research paper competition
-19 months of military service in the Korean army (currently serving at the DMZ, protecting the border between the north and south. A real-life night’s watch hehe)
not providing SAT/ACT scores because I haven’t taken it before, but I’m considering taking the SAT if it would improve my chances of admission. Should I take the SAT or not? ( I took several practice tests from the college board and got 1460-1480. Maybe I can get 1500+ in a real test if I prepare for it)
So what are my chances?
By the way, sorry if my English is bad hehe
