Hi,
I am a freshman in eastern mennonite university looking to transfer to uni of richmond in the spring semester of my sophomore year. Currently i am a international business major with a economics and english literature minor. By the end of this spring semester i will have over 45credits with a gpa ranging from 3.7-3.8. I am also the vice president of the International Student Org and the treasurer of a Business Club, Senator in the Student Government Association, varsity soccer player, held a fundraiser for the flood in Pakistan, along with speaking korean, english, german, urdu, and hindi fluently. So i was wondering if you guys could tell me whether i will have a chance in being accepted to U of R. My SAT scores werent that great so i probably wont add that in but i did have a good Toefl score and a ok high school GPA. SO it would be great if u guys tell me whether i have a good chance for getting admitted to this uni bc i would really like to go there.

ltohang, I don’t think your chances are very good right now for any of them. Your GPA is great, but after only one semester, it won’t matter that much. Your HS gpa doesn’t look good enough for most/any of them, especially for OOS. If your school was as tough as you say it is, it could be okay, but it depends how you ranked compared to your peers. If a 3.4 W was top 5-10%, it won’t hurt you as much. Your SATs are low for any of those as well, but there’s not a lot to be done about that now. I would say keep up the good work, and try again this time next year, after 3-4 semesters of school.
