Hi I am currently a female junior at a pretty competitive high school in Maryland and was wondering what my chances would be for getting into Fordham University based on the following. All of this will be as of when in applying for colleges.
-GPA: 3.5 (normally 3.75 lower for medical reasons)
-SAT: 1950
-Mostly AP and Honors Classes (10 AP classes overall)
-2 years in debate club
-2 years in Model UN
-3 years in FBLA
-President/Founder (1 year) of education reform club which succeeded in getting out districts school board partially elected
-2 years part time job (average 20hr week)
I’m looking to double major in political science and international relations at their Lincoln Center campus. Thanks so much for your time.
I just got into Fordham at Rose Hill a few days ago as a senior and I have a 3.6 with a 30 on the ACT with all honors and AP classes, ASB 2 years, national honors society, and a job. Based on my admission, you look like you’re on the right track! They sent me an email in the fall with a waived application fee for early decision, so I would definitely recommend applying early. Less stress and probably a better chance at getting in.
I forgot to say my 3.6 is unweighted. weighted is a 4.2
Cool thanks. I actually just found out my GPA is most likey going to end up being a 3.4. I received a 3.75 freashmen year and will again my junior year but I was really sick my sophomore year and it dropped a lot. Do you still think I have a shot?
