Hi, I’m an out of state applicant from California
GPA- 3.81 unweighted and 3.88 weighted
Only took one AP Class junior year- AP Bio (3)
Taking 2 APs senior year- AP Lit and Stats
SAT- 1770 but retaking next month and also taking the ACT this month
Did music for 4 years
Did mock trial for 2 years too
Top 10% in my class
I’m interested in UW but not sure if it’s worth to apply if there’s not a chance I might not even get in!
Thank You
I’d say a match in the case of a great personal statement. GPA and class standing are well within those accepted, and SAT is within average range (middle 50%, but on the lower end).

Out of state tuition is a lot higher than in Washington in state residents. I assume you are able to pay. Like the UC’s in CA, UCs like out of state students so they can charge high tuition. Also, in CA, out of state applicants have to have a little higher stats than in state applicants. UW probably would like high tuition fees from you.
I think you should raise your SAT score higher to around the high 1800 range. Out of state residence might need a little higher stats than in state residents. I know someone from CA was admitted 2 years ago with about 4.0 weighted GPA; 3.7 unweighted GPA, SAT = 1880. Another person from CA I know was denied with a 3.4 GPA and 1900 SAT in the year 2014.
