<p>Your extra-curriculars are not particularly strong, but bare in mind that many with worse extra-curriculars have gained acceptance. A couple of great essays (hopefully related to one of your extra-curriculars) may be the deciding factor.</p>
<p>Overall I would say keep the hopes up – anything is possible as long as you are not aiming for Wharton.</p>
<p>P.S. For the essays, please do not write about things like “leadership,” “compassion,” etc. which are overdone and boring. Find something truthful and unique about you (truthful being the keyword) and relate it to your extra-curricular(s). Good luck.</p>
<p>do you know if the Ivy League recalculates GPA because in most schools I would have a 4.0 as the majority of my grades in AP classes are over 97.</p>
<p>Ivies do compare how your school typically awards marks with how others do, and adjust your marks accordingly. Your class rank is already outstanding so I do not think a 3.86 and a 4.00 would make a world of difference anyway.</p>
