~~Essays & Recs; Miscellaneous~~
Writing is my greatest intellectual talent, other than science, so my essays were very good. My college counselor sent me a personal email that said my essay was "The best I have ever seen-Enough said". My little essays were very good as well.

My teacher recs are coming from the teachers of the classes in which I received the lowest grades. However, they are very good letters and they gave me the highest marks on the recommendation form. My counselor wrote a lot about my writing skills and an illness that caused me to miss much of my sophomore/junior years.

I also had a doctor write me a letter in order to verify the absence and the platform for my GPA drop. In addition, a distinguished alumna wrote a letter for me.

My GPA is low because of those extraneous circumstances, which I explained in my essay; however, I did so very uniquely.

Thank you! Only 13 days left!

I'm desperate...

Also, forgot to add:
9th Grade: Cum Laude, National Latin Exam
10th Grade: Magna Cum Laude, NLE
AP Scholar

Are you sure Gallatin GSPs? I thought it was only for Tisch, Stern, and CAS, maybe Steinhardt. But perhaps I'm wrong. I just don't see how you could GSP for Gallatin though...did you check to see if Gallatin does GSP?

Your ACT score is good GPA a little low, but you knew that already. However, if you wrote an essay explaining your particular major, your GPA being a little off par might be looked over entirely...Gallatin really looks at the whole person rather than mainly numbers.

Gallatin definitely GSPs.

Do you think that Gallatin would GSP me? Do I have a snowball's chance in hell, essentially, is the question here.

PS, thanks for the responses!

Is the major you created for Gallatin something interesting which reflects you? I think that also plays a part.

Yes: I want to do pre-med, but I elaborated on my desire to perform a concentration combining (somehow) fashion journalism, psychology, and sociology. It's reflective of me in that:
a) My writing scores/samples are great
b) My science ACT is my highest subscore
c) My science research is successful and behaviorally-based
d) I had a fashion internship
e) I've taken 8 science courses in high school-5 are honors and 2 are AP

I elaborated on all of the above in my 4th personal statement, which was long enough to suffice for the extra Gallatin essay.

Bumping...11 days :(
