Chance me: George Washington University

I have a 3.56 GPA (which will hopefully go up a little this year)
My SAT score was poor/average (1590) and just took the ACT today, so don’t have my scores. I am taking both tests again.
GW is test optional, so if I score poorly on the ACT should I just submit nothing, or would they be weary of no scores?
I’m apart of a program at my high school which allows me to attend a college and take all of my courses at the college for dual enrollment. I’ve been apart of this program my junior and senior years, and should have an AA and HS diploma at the time of my HS graduation. This program might make me stand out among other applicants.
I am worried because I have done many activities just for one year, because I wanted to try new things… so hopefully that won’t make me look uncommitted on the application.

Just submit nothing but then what are your non-reaches like?

GWs avg ACT is a 30, so I’d say submit anything above a 25. Below that, I probably wouldn’t send, even though they say that a low ACT score won’t hurt you. If you took difficult classes then you have a chance, just try to make your application very good

@Catria My non-reaches are University of Washington (my state school), CUNY Brooklyn College and Quinnipiac University

@Minnesota555 Okay, I think I did well on the ACT, and am aiming for a score around 28-30. Thank you for your reply!

I might apply there as well. Retake the SAT and study a lot and take practice tests! It’s definitely doable! I got a 1750 the first time, and studied for the fall and got a 1970. I’d say besides your SAT score, everything else looks good.

I also didn’t really do much my freshman/sophomore years… As long as they see you are focusing on interesting things/trying many things to “find yourself”, I am sure they will be happy with your ecs! Also doing too many ecs makes some kids sound ridiculous, so it’s not terrible if you only have a few strong ones.

Best of luck! I’d say if you get your SAT score up it’s a good 50% chance.
