Hi, I’m currently stressing to the max because I’m not that great academically. I’m an Asian-American Junior.
My weighted GPA is a 4.2…
Taking the SAT in March, but more than confident that it’ll be at least a 1500.
Taking 4 AP’s this year, 4 next year (10 tests in total):
Junior:
-AP Language + Composition
-AP US History
-AP Physics 1
-AP Psychology
Senior:
-AP Macro and Micro Economics
-AP Government and Politics
-AP Literature + Composition
-AP Environmental Science
Confident in getting 4-5’s on all of them except for physics.
EC’s:
-Vice President of Debate
-Outreach Officer + Treasurer of an Equality Club
-Student Liaison for Township Council’s Economic Development Committee
-Student Intern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
-Winner of Debate Camp (not giving name for privacy) last summer
-Varsity Debater, constantly breaking at local tournaments and most recently at the national Harvard Debate Tournament
-Just got accepted into an Economics program at Cornell this summer.
-Contributing author to school newspaper, editor for school’s literary magazine.
-In like 5 orchestras: normal school one, select ensemble, symphonic, pit orchestra (for school play), New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra.
-I coach/teach both forensics and violin at the middle school on a weekly basis.
-Into graphic design since 12, currently working on commission from an actual company + website while designing products
-Restaurant Hostess

Additional Notes:
-I’m pretty good at writing essays; that’s how I got into a prestigious economics program where others with much higher stats did not.
-I’m pretty bad at math.
-Been pretty much all over the world.
-NHS and NEHS
Mainly interested in economics or political science. Really into the social sciences. My grades are pretty average… any advice and what are my chances?
