For Georgetown, I think i will apply to mcdonough
I know my GPA and my SATs are not up to Georgetown Standards, but I'm am hoping my activities, especially my Head Boy (School President) EC will help me out

I personally doubt you would get into the school of business. Math II score isn’t that great, and you have no extracurriculars in business or the like.

Well i do have one EC where our school hosts this thing called “business day” where the teacher divides our whole year into 10 groups and 1 leader is chosen by the teachers. And i was chosen as leader
and we came fourth in the whole competition
but i dont necessarily have to go for business
i dont mind studying international relations or politics in Georgetown. What ya think?

I can’t gauge how good of a shot you have, but i think you should send an app in. I mean, what do yo have to lose? Admissions is a very illusive process so you never know.

Well yeah i have nothing to lose, but thast like saying ‘might as well apply to harvard since theres nothing lose’ kinda, but im hoping georgetown will be at least a high reach for me.
thanks anyways

Well, McDonough’s acceptance rate is pretty high (compared to any other schools with the similar prestige) , about 20%…
I got into McDonough last year wih a 2040 SAT and I had not done any business related stuff before either. (Although I had a bit better GPA and Math Subject tests). They told me that they liked my accomplishments in theater…funny. You should however emphasize one specific extracurricular in which you are outstanding, instead of losing focus and listing too much stuff…

And just a hint: They DO accept Math I and Math II as two different subject tests. So, seeing that you took Math II, you might wanna take Math I (although it might not be much easier to score higher)! Especially because they might not be happy to see your Korean subject test. (although you should send them that score as well).

And make sure that you show them that you have a sense of humor.
