<p>Im currently a first year (freshman) at Gettysburg College and I can’t praise the history professors here enough. I too am very interested in US history (specifically the civil war) which is nice because their is an entire minor dedicated to studding the Civil War here. Plus, a lot of the professors here are at the top of their field and they are more than wiling to talk! </p>
<p>I am no admissions official, but I wouldn’t sweat your chances of admission based on my own experience. Furthermore, I wouldn’t b shocked if you got a nice merit scholarship. I had a 3.74 weighted gpa and a 1980 SAT and I got in with a merit scholarship. I did have a lot of Civil War extracurricular that could have helped tho haha :). </p>
