@Gillyy: Thank you so much for your reply! The Civil War (which is the most intriguing aspect of America’s history, in my opinion) minor is what attracted me to the college. I was quite pleased when, upon visiting Gettysburg’s website, I was confronted with: “Students and the Civil War,” and the internships and opportunities available for said students.

I fell very much in love with the campus [when I visited last month]. I had been to Gettysburg before, of course, but I had never been on the college campus.

—> “Merit scholarship” —> That cheered me right up! I’d be ecstatic if I received both an acceptance and merit aid. I must wait until March/April for the decision, though.

I’d love to be involved with Civil War extracurricular activities, but I haven’t had many opportunities (although, I confess, I’ve made it a habit to pester a friend about taking me with her to reenactments. And she doesn’t even like Civil War history!) Hopefully, if I attend Gettysburg College, I can compensate for lost time?

Again, I really appreciate your reply. Thank you!

@thawowtso: Truly? I was almost certain that my ACT/SAT would be (100%) the death of my acceptance chances. I’m thankful for your input!
