princeton: reach all rutgers: low reach/reach

Princeton is a huge reach. Your GPA isn’t that bad, but 2 AP classes is very little (unless your school only offers those 2). Your SAT is also low. And your ECs are pretty standard, don’t really show any passion for learning. So don’t get your hopes too high for Princeton or any similarly competitive college.

I agree these are reaches. Do you have a safety in mind? Your ec’s show little leadership and community service is as already stated pretty average. Is your class rank high? Does your school offer more ap classes?

Rutgers is doable for you

pieguy: can you be a bit more specific, all 3 of the schools from rutgers i listed couldnt possibly be a reach, i agree with prinecton what about cornell?

ivanov: well i still have until senior year to take more AP, but what sat score would i need to match for princeton? and what do u think of all the rutgers schools as well as cornell

mommom: well i do not think rutgers SAS is a reach, tht is my saftey, what other ECS can i do senior year, no class rank, they offer ap writing ap calc ap chem ap history thts it

[Undergraduate Admission-A Princeton Profile](http://www.princeton.edu/pub/profile/admission/undergraduate/)
At the very bottom of the page, you’ll see the average SAT scores for Princeton, 25% and 75%. As you can see, a 2010 is far below even the bottom 25% of admitted students, so it gives you very little chance. For Princeton, I’d say shoot for 2300+. That’ll put you in the safer zone, and then it’ll come down to your ECs and essays.

http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000001.pdf</a>
Here you can find similar stats for Cornell. It’s a little lower than Princeton, but a 2010 still won’t cut it. You need to raise it at least by 200 points. You’ve got a year ahead, so definitely doable. I’m not that familiar with Rutgers, so can’t chance you for those.

And like I said, your ECs should be your main concern if you really want to get to an Ivy.

Alright ty ivan ima take the sat again and see what i can do, im new to all this so what happens if i score worse then what i oringially had
