Chance Me GW, American, or Georgetown 2021

I’m on the fence between applying ED or RD to GW, and I’m also interested in Georgetown. I’m actually graduating high school in 3 years after noticing that I had enough credits.

GPA- UW: 4.0 W: 5.44 (out of 6)

SAT- 1390 math: 720 reading/writing: 670 (will probably retake in October)

Senior Schedule- AP Spanish 5, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics 1, English 102 (in place of English 12), Engineering, AP Economics (Macro & Micro), AP U.S. History, Oceanography 101

Extracurriculars: Panera Bread Associate for 1 year (about 25-30 hours per week)
Panera Bread DoughNation Program (donate leftover food to charity)
Summer Job at Local Pool (35 hours per week)
Summer Swim Team at Local Pool
Model United Nations
Student Sharing (volunteering club)
Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society
National English Honor Society
National Honor Society
Spanish Honor Society
Future Business Leader of America (starting next year)

I plan to study international relations, International Development at GW or American or International Political Economy at Georgetown

I think you’ll most certainly get in to either GW or AU. I can’t say for certain, however, what your chances are at Georgetown. I don’t know the student profile there very well, so I’d hate to steer you wrong.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response! Do you think I should retake the SAT? I’m trying to get merit scholarship.

If you think you can do better, then absolutely. As far as whether or not it’ll effect you getting a merit scholarship, I can’t say. I’m not very well versed in what goes into deciding those scholarships, or what the average student profile is. That might be a question you can ask the Admissions or Financial Aid departments. They might have some rough figures to give you on what GPA/test scores they look for.
