No mean comments please I just really want to know my chances

I’m just a novice - but I will be the first to step forward and say not so good - but you’ll never get in if you don’t try! Best of luck

Update: I just took the Biology M and Math 1 subject test today…feeling good about both

Update no 2: I also found out that my school weights GPA out of 5, not 6. Sorry :stuck_out_tongue:

You have a 5% chance at Ivies, like everyone else, but you’re an easy match for FSU and UF. Depending on the strength of your essay, EC descriptions and committements, and your intended major/what you want to do, Johns Hopkins could be a low/medium reach, Rice will be a low reach, and Emory could be a high match. If your SAT scores go up, your chances will improve!!

with your hook, I definitely think you have a pretty good shot at ivies. can’t pinpoint an exact percent, but definitely more than 5% and you’ll probably get into 2 or 3. good luck!

@runfanatic99 - good stats. Harvard does not have ED btw

*I meant EA my b

Your SAT score is a bit low, but you’re black and everything else seems awesome. So, you’ll make it into many places. Good luck!

Keep doing extra curriculars and maintain a good GPA. Your SAT score might be a little low.

I think your ECs and stats are average but you have some good hooks so might have a good chance at some of them. Princeton will be tough though, as it is for everybody.

Is my ethnicity really that much of a hook? I know that colleges look for non-white applicants but i really do not think that being black has that much of an advantage. Thoughts?

Update: Got accepted to FSU…hopefully the first of many!

Accepted to UF, deferred from Harvard :stuck_out_tongue:

You will get into at least one of these reaches. I’m certain.

Update: I switched out Princeton for Cornell when I applied via Common App. Got this letter for Diversity Hosting in my email-
This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell’s Class of 2021.
I guess I actually made it into the Ivy League

    I’m beyond excited right now lol

accepted to Johns Hopkins last night!!! Beyond ecstatic

I can add Emory to the list too! #blessed

Congrats!! And you received Emory already?? I thought it came out today at 6PM
