I think my essays were pretty good, and I chose two teachers who liked me a lot to write my recs!

I think that a lot will depend on your high school’s level of competitiveness. 88% of Cornell class of 2019 were in the top 10% of their high school class & you were not, that could be the “hole” in your application. Everything else looks pretty good.
