Chance Me HYP or CC?! a bay bay

Hey guys. I've been religiously reading this forum for any input I could get for myself but I have finally realized that my attributes are unique. I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could give me some realistic advice. I have talked to two guidance officers in my school and both of them have said completely opposite things.

American Male
Attend one of the best public schools in New Hampshire
GPA Un-weighted (the only kind at my school on a 4.3 scale): 4.06
Guidance counselor would consider course load most rigorous

Freshman Courses: Advanced Writing, Geometry, Latin 1, Psychology, and required science and humanities courses.

Sophomore Courses: Algebra II, Chemistry, Latin II, and required science and humanities courses.

Junior Courses: Pre-Calculus, Physics, Latin III, AP European History, and required humanities course.

Plan for Senior Year (expect to get all As) AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Literary and Comprehension, World Religions, Journalism, and required humanities course.

Total APs: 4 (Our school only offers 10 total)
School does not have honors classes, just honors options which are pointless (I know, it's weird)

SATs: Took them once in 7th grade, and once in 9th. I will be taking them this year (11th) and expect to get 700-750 in each subject. Exactly this is what I expect (I have take practice tests)
Math:720
Critical Reading: 650
Writing: 700

As far as ECs go...
JV soccer 9, 10
Varsity soccer 10, 11
Super Y soccer league 10 (best league in New England)
Indoor soccer (9, 10, 11, 12)
Started Soccer club (president)
High Honors and Principle List every quarter (top 10% of class)
Taught Immigrants and made them feel more comfortable in US
Took a John's Hopkins summer course in flight science
Take an extensive 6 week course on Japanese Culture, taught at St. Paul’s School, arguably one of the best high schools in the nation.
Also, additional community service throughout the rest of junior and senior year

Instead of listing colleges I would like to go to, I was wondering where you guys think I could get in. From #1 Princeton to #24 Michigan to # 119 UNH, if you could give me a range of where I would be likely to where I could be considered safety, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Princeton would be a high high reach w/ those SAT scores. Don't get me wrong, they're good, but low for Princeton.

I don't think you're going to get into Princeton in all honesty, or the other Ivy's. There is nothing THAT unique about your application. Unless you get recruited for soccer, which is a crapshoot that you should not depend on.
Michigan is a maybe a high match to a low reach.
You're in at UNH.
I think you'd do pretty well at Colgate, Hamilton, and Amherst. Go for other college's like those.
But if you're going for the BIG university feel that I think you are then try UCSD, UCD, USC, University of Miami, Miami University, and NYU.
More info would be useful like what you want to do and what kind of living enviroment you like.

Sorry for being a bit mean.

Lol Dont worry about it. I only put down princeton, michigan, and UNH as examples. What I really would like is to know what range of colleges I could get into safely. For example, would I get in at the universities ranked 40-50 such as Syracuse and Tulane? Btw, I really dont know what kind of enviornment I would like. Also, coming from New Hampshire, do I have any shot at the UCs such as Berkeley, San Diego, USC, etc?

Thanks a lot for your guys help.

Fewf, that's a relief, i don't like being mean.
I think that you can totally count on getting into Syracuse and Tulane.
Since USC is technically a private, then I think you've got a pretty decent shot. Plus, I doubt a lot of people from NH apply there which gives you a little leg up.
The actual publically funded UC's... not so much. San Diego has a 2% OOS population on campus (I just found this out like five minutes ago) And Berkely... if you were instate then most likely... OOS i doubt it.
But you should look into BU,BC, and UIUC. I'd be surprised if you didn't get into those.

you could get into schools in the 30-40 range probably. though top 20 no chance. sorry. its just that kids with OUTSTANDING grades, scores, and ECs get REJECTED from those schools.

Thanks for the Input. Just wondering, what about the liberal arts colleges? Do I have a chance at places such as Amherst and Haverford?

Finally, hows my chances an University of Wisconsin- Madison if both my parents went there. Thanks again!

Probably the most important thing you need to consider.

not HYP material, yet. Work on your scores. Also, you're going to need some kind of hook or something...the post is just so bland.

Also, if by American male you mean white male...that's extremely offensive. Every American citizen is an American, not just the white ones. (White male here).

Your original post is a bit confusing. For example, are the posted SAT I scores real or imaginary, from practice tests or prior actual tests? Your posted profile shows that you like to play soccer and that you are a good student, but have no idea what you want in a college or university; this is likely to make for a very weak, uninspired application. As posted, you might want to consider a local state supported college or university until you develop more succinct parameters beyond "I want to go to college". P.S. Both of your GCs were right in my opinion.

Well I do realize that I am missing a hook. As a junior, I really am just trying to get a feel of where I could get into, as far as selectivity wise. As far as where I want to go, that is a completeley different story. I think we all know that anyone applying to HYP without a legacy is a crapshoot as 9/10 people get rejected. Those schools would be up there with my top choices, but as I stated, I want to know realistically where I can go and call a safety. As far as what I am interested in, I am a very science-oriented person who is looking to study theoretical physicis.

@phpfan: I put I am a american male just to show that I have been living in America my entire life and was born here, as opposed to immigrating here. As the majority of Americans, I am a mixing pot of nationalities. I did not mean to be offensive.

Also, those are SAT practice test scores but treat them as the real scores. The actual SAT scores i recieved in 7th and 9th are irrellevant as I was young.

Thank you guys for all your help.

Eskobar....who does that? No one puts their nationality on CC, they put their ethnicity. "American male" is just...a vague, stereotypical innuendo for white male. Whatever. I think it thing slipped out; don't worry about it. I know you weren't trying to be offensive. Just be careful.
