First of all why is your weighted gpa 5.3 out of 6? Can’t really give you a good read without your gpa. I don’t know about you but my weighted gpa is on a scale of 5 with weighted classes being a 5, so a good gpa would be around 4.3-4.6
I live in texas, and For some reason, our school district has weighted GPA’s on a 6 point scale. I really wish I could give you a number out of 5, but unfortunately, I don’t know of any conversion
Your extracurriculars and work experience look really good, and you have taken a lot of AP classes. I think that you have a strong chance of getting into those schools!
Everything you have looks decent, but it’s a little scattered in terms of what you’re focus is. Many to schools like to see drive in one main direction. I suggest highlighting one of your passions in your essay, or somehow connecting your varied extracurriculars. Without passion or a focus it might just seem like your want to bolster your resume. With proper essays you have a good shot! Except see if you can retake the SAT and up your score. And take a couple of subject SATs. Many to schools require them. Chance me back?

UW GPA and SAT score are below average for UCLA. EC’s look great but UC’s are very GPA focused so unless you can bump up your UC GPA and test scores, UCLA is a Reach. UCLA does not super score. OOS students get no financial aid, so are your parents willing to pay $55K/year for you to attend?
UCLA averages for 2015:
UCGPA
4.18
ACT Composite Score
31
SAT Critical Reading
675
SAT Mathematics

Test scores are pretty low. Get your SATs to a 1400+ and you’ll have a good chance. Also try to improve your GPA and rank. UT Austin has auto admit for top 7% so if you can raise your class rank to around a 34 you’re in.
Thanks guys, I’ll definitely brush up on more standardized testing prep books this summer! @ben69420 @Gumbymom
