Cornell, Brown, and UChicago are high reaches. You need to take the SAT and get at least a 1900 to have anyone accurately gauge your chances at the others. However, your upward trend and EC’s are impressive. Good luck.

Bump

What you’re majoring in will be a huge factor to your chances of getting into these schools. Like previous posters have said, you have great EC’s, but your grades are not the best. If you had trouble with the math and science sections of the ACT, you might consider taking the SAT in September. That one doesn’t have the pesky science section, and the math is a little less demanding so it might be a bit better for you. However, if you are planning on majoring in something like engineering, you might want to just stick with retaking the ACT (or both, that’d probably be best, although stressful). You might also take Math II if doing engineering, as most schools require it for that major. Anyways, here are my opinions! (These will be for right now, if you improve your test scores, they can go up).

To Kreig01’s comment I’ve been told that an upward GPA trend looks very good.

I wish I had your ecs, and being bilingual definitely helps… The upward trend does look really good, and it also looks good that your progressively are taking more AP’s and harder classes.

Quick question, why the ratings for UMich & OSU? I thought, with reassurance from my counselor, that I’d get into both.

Could it be I didn’t say when I’d apply?

UMich EA
Cornell RD
CWRU EA
UChicago RD
Brown RD
K College EA
MSU (since it’s rolling Idk, whenever I feel like it)
Albion EA
OSU ? (Not my top pick so I’m undecided, probably EA if I have the energy)

Take the SAT, I got a 163 as a sophomore and a 154 as a junior (I know, there were no clocks and they didnt warn us at all when time was almost up) and scored an 1880 without studying the first time. Sure I’m gonna study and try to raise it but going from a 154 to a 188 is pretty darn good. Do focus on the act though since you’re obviously great at it. Good luck!

Bump

I agree with the top posts, your GPA gradually increased even though you took more challenging courses, work on your ACT score and you’ll be fine.
U of M Ann Arbor - Low reach
Cornell - Reach
Case Western Reserve - Match
UChicago - Reach( as is for everyone)
Brown - Reach
Michigan State - Match
Kalamazoo College - Safety
Albion College - Safety
Ohio State - Match

Chance back please :)

Guess I’ll give my own prediction

Brown, UChicago High Reach
Cornell Reach
UMich, CWRU Match
K College, Albion, MSU, OSU Low Match-Safety

Not 100% set on this list, only UMich, Cornell, MSU, CWRU & K College are for sure. Might apply to UNC Chapel Hill and UPenn.

Bump. Just as a refresher

UMich
Cornell

UChicago

Kalamazoo College
Michigan State
Albion College
Ohio State

ACT-30
Upward trend in grades since trashy freshman year. Loads of ECs and leadership.Challenging courses while still increasing GPA.

Full details on page 1. I promise to chance back.

Brown U Chicago and Cornell are all high reaches.
Your course rigor is lacking.
Potentially only going algebra 1- precal in math could possibly hurt you (I’m in the same position). If you have any insight into that, let me know
