<p>Well, I'm just a new guy here (compared to the other gods-of-CC), but to put things in perspective, my friend got a 1830 on the SAT I. What helped her get into UCLA (besides the seemingly random selection process used by Admissions) was her year-long internship with a hospital. She wrote about that copiously and with many personal details. I'd say if your internship was in-depth enough, go ahead and focus on it for your personal statement. With UCLA's new holistic admission process, a great extracurricular like that should be decisive.</p>
<p>hahaha well i guess ur in a similiar situation that i'm in. My UC gpa weighted is a 3.8 but my SAT is a 2140. However, i have a Microsoft Internship and ppl told me that if i wrote great essays and shared my Internship experience it would be the factor that would make or break me. Hopefully that data base is nationally known. gl!</p>
