thanks for the help in advance. if you have any suggestions of schools to that would be much appreciated

Welcome to CC! Where the extraordinary are ordinary, the overachieving come standard, and incredulously amazing profiles are the norm. Yes, I’m exaggerating, but only a little, whether that’s a good thing or not… Moving on…

I really don’t want to sound demeaning or crude, but your academics and test scores, as well as weak ECs, put Brown University, Stanford, and UPenn out of reach for you. I see Northwestern as being quite the reach, and Purdue possibly a low reach. If you’re in Illinois, you could look to Loyola possibly Case Western University just a bit over. But if I were you, I’d wait for a better chancer to wander over to this thread.

^Agreed. Penn, Stanford, Brown are out of reach. NU and Berkley are very close to being out of reach.

At OP. even though they are “out of reach” they are not IMPOSSIBLE. apply anyways. hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised.

^Not true. Out of reach = impossible.

any other good schools that would possibly be safe/low reach that i can shoot for?

If journalism look at NYU, pretigious school that may be in reach
