Other than that, i feel im a pretti strong applicant with a tough courseload, 3.9 gpa,16/700 in class, and a lot of extracurriculars. Do many students make up their low scores if everything else was good?

Thanks guys.

Yes, it is possible to get past poor board scores. Possible, not likely. You have an uphill battle.
Other factors come into play: geography; ethnicity; how tough is your school?; difficulty of curriculum relative to the hardest available at your school; leadership in ECs (it’s more about depth than about making a list with “lots of ECs”).
If the rest of these factors are unusually appealing to the AdCom, an applicant can get past poor board scores, but keep in mind that yours are really low for GU (or any top school), so that you will need to knock their socks off with other aspects of your application.
If you want to go to GU, you should give it your best shot. Just realize that it is a big reach and have plenty of back-ups as part of your overall application strategy.

thnkss WCASparent. Do you think you could give me overall feedback for these schools with the new information i’ve provided below: Georgetown, John Hopkins, NYU, Carnegie-Mellon

Idk. I’m gonna try my best, and I know I really have to make up for just ok scores. I can’t say I have a “hook” though.

Your scores are pretty low for all of those. Your math score, especially, is really important to Carnegie-Mellon.
