Northwestern is definitely a reach–you are outside of their ACT/SAT range. Those scores aren’t everything though, so you should still apply and see what happens.

SMU is a definite match. I don’t see you have any trouble getting in there with your credentials.

NYU and Northeastern could go either way. You definitely stand a realistic shot at those, especially at Northeastern because you applied early. I would guess that it’s probably about 60/40 at those in your favor.

bump! sorry, I’m kinda freaking out about this…

Northwestern is a big reach, but the rest aren’t too problematic-- except NYU is a high match/low reach, as others have said.

Feel free to chance if you like (it’s an old thread haha sorry): http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1246599-chance-me-will-chance-back.html

I think Northwestern is a reach but Northeastern is very likely to accept you. NYU chances are average…I think your chances would be higher if you have a hook (URM, special experiences, etc.) and I don’t really know anything about SMU.

Northwestern - high reach
Northeastern - match
SMU - I don’t know anything about sorry
NYU - slight reach

thanks guys! anyone else?

Scores are ehhh for NU but good for NYU and Northeastern (sorry I don’t know anything about SMU so I can’t really tell you…). Your GPA and ECS are great, so if you wrote a good essay and had awesome teacher recs you could still be in the running for Northwestern. Scores are just one part of the application (regardless of all the hype on CC), and your score is above average so you should be proud of yourself. Good luck! :)
