Is your safety in your home country?

The US is my home country @Catria‌

Also, should I take Math II as a subject test?

Do not listen to ^ U CHICAGO is not a safety for anyone. It’s a reach for u and everyone else

Yikes typo my bad

All reaches except pomona, purdue, bu, UCLA and MAYBE berkeley (might be high match), fairly ambitious list.

Pomona, Purdue, BU are very solid matches/safeties though!

You have strong EC’s and a compelling background (international, middle-eastern) that could work in your favor if you play your cards right. You’re academics are passable (esp with that ACT score) but some of your awards make up for it (Siemens). Have you looked at Liberal Arts?

Please chance me back!

Once you raise your ACT score, I think you’re going to have an even better chance at all these schools!
All of the Ivies are hard to chance because they are reaches for everyone, but you are definitely a competitive applicant. Best of luck to you!

Also I forgot:

I won the Best Poster (and a $100) at the Indiana Physiological Society Conference

And I took the AP French Language test and I got a 5

@dreamer1997 You seem to confuse Pomona and Cal Poly Pomona; Cal Poly Pomona is, yes, a safety, but Pomona is a reach much like Stanford is.

Hello? Anyone else?

Harvard: reach
Brown : reach
Pomona : reach
Berkley : match
BU: safety

You might want to try taking the SAT as well as the ACT. The fact that you do go to an international school could help you and your ECs are great. I think if you have a reflective personal statement it would really boost you past people with higher test scores and AP/IB classes.

@oystershelleatme: could you clarify

  1. are you a US citizen/permanent resident (this greatly affects your chances)
  2. what is your unweighted GPA?

My initial impression, assuming

  • your unweighted GPA is strong (which I cannot conclude from the stats you posted)
  • you are not applying as an international student
  • you follow through on improving your ACT score
  • your recommendations, essays, and interviews are strong
    is that you would have an excellent chance at any of these schools, including Harvard. Don’t overlook the last one - interviews, recommendations, and essays often go unmentioned in so many these threads but are critical to a successful application.

@BldrDad‌

  1. I am a dual citizen with both Turkish and US citizenship, so no I am not an international student
  2. My school is an all IB school, so our GPA scale is very different and there’s no definite maximum or minimum because it depends on the difficulty of classes you take

I think my essays will be pretty good, and I’m comfortable in interviews.
I’m just worried about my test scores that I know will improve but still…
