For SMU, I’d say you have around a 30% chance of getting in, with maybe a little boost from being a URM.
For TCU, I’d guess more like a 50% chance, again with maybe a little boost from URM.

I agree with waswaswasnt, I think you most likely have a little higher of a chance at TCU than SMU, but nothing huge. Legacy may help you out a little bit! You didn’t specify your current schedule or whether or not you take AP/IB courses, but those definitely factor in as well. It all really depends, but I think your chances for both schools could really range anywhere from 25%-50% depending on what the admissions team is looking for!

i dunno much about SMU but with your leadership skills and URM, i think your shot is pretty strong. GOod luck!
I think both are match schools, probably a better chance with TSU. You’re still in the middle 50 for ACT! It’s hard to completely judge, I don’t know what your essay or recs are like. Make sure your essay is strong. Good luck!

TCU is as competitive as UT if you took alot of AP classes then you should be fine, your ACT score is a bit on the lower side but nothing to worry about. I think you have a good shot! Chance me back?
