*** What schools should I lookat???

my HIGH REACH choices (as a junior so far):

Cornell (HIGH reach)
Duke (EXTREMELY HIGH reach)
NYU (High reach)
Georgetown

honestly man, I go to emory right now so i am pretty sure when i tell you this it has some legitimacy…your stats are just not high enough to get you into the schools of your choice…if i wrote them down and chanced you they would all be high high high reaches…1500 is average on the SAT and all those schools are highly selective…you should be aiming for state schools…I am not trying to hurt your feelings but you really need to understand the competitiveness of these universities…im just trying to help you out

I see, but like what if I boost my sat to a 2000 because I feel like I can. I got those 1500s without studying a page of work, just seeing how high I could get

Where should I start? Wait I know thats a dumb question, like what books do you recommend? Also my BIGGEST problem is lazyness. Like I want to go to a good college but SAT studying is just hard for me to begin, due to all the classes in school im trying to keep 93.00 or higher. I have the sparknotes sat book is that any good?

P.s: I will chance back if you want me to do so.

Lmao…Almost all these schools are high reaches…Your SATs for those schools are just rediculously low…That’s average…for ivy leagues…you need 2150+…2250 to be safe… I scored a 1600 and I’m not even trying for those schools…
Study and I’m sure you can aim for a 2000+ SAT easily.

Also try to get your GPA to a 3.7-3.75 if possible.

Personally I would recommended the official SAT study guide (blue book), the book comes with 10 practice tests. I ignored the strategy guides they give you and just did problems from the practice test, and referred to the review sections when I really couldn’t understand a problem. It may be frustrating at first but eventually the questions will become much easier. I set aside about 4 or 5 tests for these purposes, 3 tests to take under real testing conditions (timed), and the remainder of the tests I used to to take individual sections timed.I spent about an hour a day studying for 1.5 months before the test, I have a rigorous course load as well so I can understand it being hard to start studying, but trust me it will be well worth it. Also, there are some great posts on here with all kinds of SAT advice.

Damn I only have two weeks…Well I will try to raise my scored 200 points atleast. Like to a 1700. I’ll start studying 2 hours a day for the next two weeks. Wish me luck, and thanks.
