UVA - In
UNC - In
W&M - small reach
Miami Oh - In
WF - small reach (don’t send in scores since I think WF is test optional imo)
Emory - Reach
Vandy - Reach
BU - In
BC - Probably in
UConn - In
UChicago - Far reach

UVA, UNC, W&M - probably
U Miami - I’d raise that SAT and maybe the ACT a little bit first, and then you’ll be able to get in easily (they put lots of priority on in-state people. That’s why)
Wake Forest - pretty hard to get into even with a decent resume. This one is a maybe.
Emory/Vandy - Again, I’d raise those test scores, and with decent essays, you should be able to get in.
The Bostons - I’m going to go with a probably here.
U Chicago - This one is a bit of a stretch, not because you’re not qualified in EC and everything else, but because their admitted test scores tend to be a bit higher than most other schools. I’m pretty sure if you raise your ACT to 32-33, you’ll have a fighting chance at this one.

Like I said before, your EC is pretty good.

In everywhere except uchicago. Raise that SAT to 2150+ and you have a decent shot there. Chicago looks heavily at essays though, so make sure yours is fantastic.

I think you have a fine shot at all the schools on your list. Emory, Vanderbilt, and U Chic might cause you a bit of trouble. Your test scores aren’t quite where you would want them and your ECs might be just a bit too lackluster. Recs and Essays will make all of the difference at these three. The rest of the out-of-states will pretty much be hit and miss, You’ll get into UVA, but the out of states will probably depend mostly on a number of factors out of your control, I’d say you get into the majority though. I’m not familiar enough with the Bostons to give you a chance on 'em. Just remember, test scores factor in pretty big to the publics, and recs/essays are you best bet for the higher tiers.

Lots of luck, My dad went to Miami, it’s a great school, don’t often see out of state people applying.

Might look at Holy CROSS-very good school with nice campus 1 hour from Boston. Holy Cross has very strong biology program with new science building.

I think you have solid ECs and great grades and SATs. You should be able to get into the majority of the schools on your list, logically, with UChicago, Emory, and Vandy maybe a slight reach.

I say UNC Chapel Hill is the toughest for you to get into and is very unlikely. UNC has two pools of applicants: Instate and out of state. About ~40% of the instate applicants get in while only about ~10% of out of state applicants get in. Your test scores are decent, but not high enough for UNC. UNC is very very competitive if you live out of state. It’s also harder because the female to male ratio at unc is about 3:2, so that might hurt you too.

I think you’d be in for UNC, Miami, and possibly UChicago. I don’t know much about any of those other schools, but you should be good for these! Miami keeps sending me stuff to apply & sending my eligibility for scholarships, and my stats are WAY lower than yours. So I definitely wouldn’t worry about that.

Miami of Ohio: in for sure
Emory: lower reach
Vandy: reach
Boston University: in
U Chicago: reach
Those are the schools I know. Really, I think you have a chance at all of the schools…it just depends on how the admissions counselors are feeling that day.
