Thank you so much!!

I have applied to Temple, Drexel, Villanova, UPenn, UConn, Muhlenburg, UNC Chapel Hill, Georgtown,Lafayete,Dickinson, and Carnegie Melon

Приве́т ! You have good chances at all of these schools. Penn and Melon are very hard to get into so its a reach for anyone. The other schools are all possible. Being on the school newspaper is a really good EC !

SAT low, 33 ACT good, but UW GPA will make CMU, Georgetown and Penn very unlikely.

@Guapo_Trill Completely disagree. Being an editor for the school newspaper is not even comparable to the ECs of the applicants applying to some of these schools. Your courseload and grades are very weak as well, as you’ve taken three APs and the three you’ve taken are renowned as easy. That being said, pretty much everything is weak for the schools listed below:

UNC CH - Reach (unless in-state)
CMU - High Reach (average ACT for MCS is a 35)
UPenn - High Reach
Georgetown - High Reach

thank you… do you think that my stats are good enough for dickinson or lafayete?

and i also attend one of the most challenging highschools in the state…

oh my god… i did not notice… i typed my gpa in wrong… i meant 3.75 UW. i mustve not hit the 7. My bad

3.75 UW GPA is much better, but class rigor will still impact chances as most applicants at the most selective schools will have taken 6-8 AP classes, if offered.

so which schools do you think i can get into?

out of the ones that i am applying to?

Temple - Safety
Drexel - Safety
Villanova - Match
UPenn - High Reach
UConn - Safety (although OOS may be different)
Muhlenburg - Low Match
UNC Chapel Hill - High Reach

Georgetown - High Reach
Lafayete - Match
Dickinson - Don’t know anything about this school
Carnegie Melon - High Reach

I think you will get into all the PA schools except for UPenn (you still have a chance but it is very difficult for anyone to get in!). The other schools are a bit iffy. A lot of them are reaches for everyone…but your GPA and ACT may hold you back for your reaches. Also, you never took AP Chem or AP Bio which is strange for a bio or chem major imo. Also you did not do research or science-related ECs…that may hurt you since most STEM applicants at top schools are part of activities such as Science Olympiad, Chem/Bio Oly (olympiads), research…

But good luck and let the process do its thing
