Hey everybody! I was just rejected from UCLA and I hear that UC acceptances/rejections can be a bit kooky, with kids getting into UCLA but rejected from UCSC or into Berkeley but not UCLA, etc etc.

Just thought I'd ask the Berkeley forum for a quick chance just for the lulz:

UW GPA: 3.77 out of 4
W GPA: 4.2 out of 4
ACT: 29
SAT: wasn't good, i think it was like 1800 or 1900, hell maybe 1750?
ECs:
-4 yrs (2yrs varsity) of Track
-2 yrs of varsity football, was a BIG leader in both
-speech team officer
-worked for my Dad's business for several 100 hours
-worked for Brother's business over summers
-co-founded a weightlifting club at my school in a few weeks
Essay: My AP Lit teacher said one was top-tier, no one read my second statement
Senior schedule: 4 AP classes, only 1 non-AP, 1 Honors class
AP Gov, AP Econ, AP Psychology, AP Lit & Comp
Classes from past years: 2 APs, 1 Honor in Jr. Yr, and several honors through Fr-So. yrs.

If you care to chance, please feel free to, I'd greatly appreciate and thank you! :D

I have almost the exact same stats- so weird… I got accepted to UC M and R, waitlisted @ UC: D, I, and SB… rejected from UCLA…

I think we have a very low chance of getting in… but you never know… I am already preparing my appeal packages GOOD LUCK- BERKELEY COMES OUT THE 29th

Very close stats too! 4.2 W & 29 ACT. Rejected from UCLA, accepted into SD, D, I, and SC though :). I received the borderline supplement so maybe you’ll be considered borderline as well?

finally found some one with a SAT score under 2000 who applied to UCLA. I had a un weighted GPA of 3.9/4, no AP classes but 3 IB class(predicted grades of 7,7,6), SAT1 approximately 1900, and no SAT 2. I was admitted by UCLA, UCD, and waitlisted by UCSD. Probably going to UCLA by this chance. Never even expected to get admitted by and California schools… guess i’m lucky… good luck for those who applied to Berkeley…!
