So, here’s the deal. I love Santa Barbara. I spent a week up there for leadership camp and had the most amazing time and I was obsessed with the campus. Planning on visiting when I get the chance, since summer session was super lowkey and want full 28,000 undergraduate experience. I know I am around the area of admission for this school. Here are my stats:
UC GPA: 4.25
ACT: 28
No SAT
SAT II: US History 660, planning on taking Spanish with Listening and Literature in November.
Top 15% of my class
Race includes Native American and Hispanic (Although I know UC doesn’t take into account race, so many people have told me that Native American is so rare that it really helps)
Planned Major: Global Studies (by the way, heard that major is a good choice there. Thoughts?)
As for extracurricular, I am currently on student body and I am the school board representative. Studied abroad in Spain for a month receiving college credit, volunteered in Costa Rica, part of a volunteer organization, CSF, have a charity club, work I get paid for, and do an internship. Trying to weigh out what my chances are, and I know admissions are so weird nowadays, but looking for a straightforward, helpful answer. Let me know! Thanks everyone
