your gpa is a bit low but everything else looks good! if you get the sat scores you want then you should be fine! your activies look great

good luck :)

and can you chance me?

For all of them I’d say you’re a great match except for Harvard, Princeton, and Yale… Those are a reach for anyone.

Those stats are amazing, assuming that you get your projected scores. You have a great shot at every school except HYP. Those are reaches for everyone.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/838448-chance-urm-aa-male.html

Thanks for the input, everyone. FWIW, I’m not applying to Princeton, and am not even sure whether I’ll apply to Harvard.

Anyway, do you guys seriously think that Columbia, Brown, and Swarthmore are matches or “good shots”? I was honestly surprised by those responses.

well Brown is a college that really like personalities… they like very well rounded people…

based on your stats… i would say Brown is a low reach

but all this depends on your SAT scores

Like everyone else said, you have a great shot at all of the schools, including the ivies. However, those are reaches for everyone so you can never be sure. With your stats though, it seems like you would be a good fit for any of the schools on your list. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into most of them. Good Luck!

You’re a match for everything except for the Ivies.

Good luck!

Grind out the highest gpa possible for the rest of this year and first half of senior year. Remember who you will be competing against.

I think you haves great shot for all of them. HYP are tough to get in though, possible tho. You got really nice stats tho, good job and good luck.

P.S.
Thanks for chancing me ;)

Columbia (ED), UChicago (EA), Michican (ER), Harvard, Yale, Brown, Johns Hopkins, Rice, NYU, UT-Austin, Amherst, Swarthmore, Haverford, Wesleyan, Bates, and Bard.

I think basically in to all except Harvard and Yale. Those are reaches for anyone. Brown, Rice, Columbia might be a little harder but since you’re doing ED for Columbia I think you should be in…Rest should basically be backups…

You seem with a pretty bright future. All the colleges you mention all still reaches but you have great stats will make you a strong competitor. If I am not wrong you could possibly end up being accepted to the majority of the schools you are planning to apply. Hope you do good!

I would say you are a 7.0 to all of them (or even more. It all depends on your SATs and essays.)

Chance me please!
