@PinkManatee UMich a low reach? I’d call it out of reach, with a 0.1% chance due to legacy and that ACT score.
OP’s ACT score is good, but it isn’t going to be a point in his/her favor at UMich. It just won’t be a strike against him/her, given the out-of-state midrange of 31-35 (IIRC).
The ECs don’t look too bad, but OP’s GPA is a 2.8. That’s more than a full point below the UMich average of 3.85. It isn’t going to fly. A typical UMich student is an A- student with a 32 ACT and good extracurriculars. For OOS applicants, the ACT is higher and the student will very nearly be a straight-A student.
What makes you think Michigan would choose a B- student with average extracurriculars over the above profile?
