PLEASE HELP:
I'm from Pakistan where we follow the GCE O/A Level system.
I took 9 subject in O'Levels and got the following grades:
Physics:A
Chemistry:A
Mathematics:A
Computer Studies:A
English Language:A*
Economics:A*
Pakistan Studies:A*
Islamiyat:A*
Urdu:B
It adds up to a weighted (American) GPA of 3.96
I then, procrastinated and wasted the 12th grade, I got two C's and two D's in the mid-terms and got a C,D and an E in my finals.
I also took an AS Level subject and got an A in it (General paper).
My question is, what are my chances of getting into the following?
McGill Faculty of Arts (Econ major)
UoToronto Trinity College (Econ major)
UBC (Econ Major main campus)
I have a recommendation from the Econ professor at UToronto, which explains why I messed up the 12th grade. I plan to apply for the fall semester of 2014. I am not applying for financial aid. My predicted grades are as follows:
Physics: B
Chemistry:C
Maths: D
But my teacher recommendations refute this as my teacher has explicitly stated that I fell ill (Typhoid) and as a result of which was unable to study.
PLEASE HELP ME I'M FREAKING OUT.

I’m not certain about Canada, but I think you have fantastic marks for the US , you should do quite good in the SAT and would be able to get into quite a lot of Colleges.

I wouldn’t worry too much about 12th grade, especially if you have a letter from the Econ professor, and because you were sick. I think you have a pretty good shot for the US but Canada may be a tad difficult, but hey! you never know!

Good luck!!

Guys I’m not applying to the US as I had an unfortunately underwhelming SAT score of 1990. Isn’t Canada generally easier to get into than most US college’s for Econ?
I planned to go to UChicago but my SAT score failed to shine through. McGill is known for Engineering and there Sciences program is very competitive but I haven’t heard the same from their Arts faculty.
