and.. be honest.. do i have the slightest chance at..
Macalester
Cornell
Colgate
University of Chicago
Northwestern

if you guys have any suggestions to what i should do to improve my chances, it'd be greatlyyy appreciated! :)

Your school will give colleges enough information to know where you rank. Below 10% will make your second list very difficult though Mac may be worth a shot.

Alright, thanks! I’m a bit confused about what other information could give away my rank… but I guess I’ll try to get that up along with my gpa

I would apply to your second list if you had the money, but I wouldn’t expect much of it. Your WGPA is too low and ACT is nothing impressive. But you have a little more than a year, and a lot can happen in that time. Your course rigor + lack of defining ECs definitely isn’t enough for NW/Cornell to take you unless you add a good bit more too the list (don’t worry you still have time if you work really hard)

second list looks, very unlikely with that ACT

your rank doesn’t matter too much, but it DOES show grade inflation.

I would say, in at 2/3 on first list, and 1 of your second list (not UChicago though)

Chance back?http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/953807-chance-2-3-between-junior-senior.html

Your grades look good, and you have decent ECs, but your ACT is low. At this point I would say that these are your chances. Right now I’d say that you’re a match for University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of MN-Twin Cities. U of Michigan would be a medium reach, while all the others on the second list would be reaches. Now, that being said, if you were to get your ACT over 30, you would be a closer match to U of Michigan, Macalester, and Colgate. Northwestern, UChicago, and Cornell would still be reaches, but they’re reaches for most people at any rate. Just as a side-note UChicago puts a lot of weight on its essays, and if you could write some kick-ass ones and get a 30+ on ACT, you would have a good shot there. Hope that helps :)

If you can, chance me back
