Majors:

JMU: Accounting #3 choice
VCU: Safety, undecided
Mary Washington: undecided

Thank you for taking your personal time to read my information.

I don’t know about your first essay for VTech. Colleges want essays from you that exemplify your personality and passion, not essays that offer excuses to a low SAT score. Of course, you may have talked about your limited time living in the US and how you overcame such challenges. That’s a better way to go.

GPA is good, which is a plus. As for SAT, you might suffer a bit from that, but your course load will make up for that to an extent. If you still have the opportunity then you might want to retake the SAT, but at this point, I think it might be a bit late.

Virginia Tech - Very possible. SAT (CR + Math –> average is 1250, yours –> 1150). 100 points below the average, but your GPA could counteract that.

College Park - This one is going to be difficult. I don’t know the averages, but based off of the rankings I think you may have a slightly better shot at V-tech.

GMU - I don’t know too much about this one, but based off of the rankings I think that you certainly have a chance. Your SAT score, though, still remains the main problem.

JMU - Based off of the fact that Princeton review classifies it as ‘‘more selective’’, I think that you have a medium shot with this one. Might need some luck, but still within the range of possibility.

VCU - As you said, this one is your safety. You are well within the necessary averages, I assure you.

Mary Washington - Cannot really find any immediate info on this one. I think it could be possible.

Well, thats my cut for it. I’m sorry if my evaluations are not as detailed as they should be, but thats the best that I’ve got with what I saw and know.

Mind chancing me back under the thread:
‘‘Chance me for the UCs? I’ll chance back if asked.’’
