I should also mention my strong desire to enter the field of politics and government. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I do debate/forensics in the KC area too! You have good ECs and GPA. Ideally your ACT would be more in the 30+ range, but you might be better at the SAT. Good luck, I know some people from debate that got into BU with similar stats.

Thank you!!!

score a 2000+ on the SAT and youre a shoe in for both

Shoot for higher SAT/ACT scores and you’re in…

If you can raise your ACT/SAT you’re set, but even if you don’t you still have a chance! Standardized tests DON’T mean everything! Good luck!

Your ACT composite score is wrong if you got what you wrote

Oh sorry I should have made that clear. Those are just my best scores for the sections. I wish that’s what I had. Hopefully I’ll get it the last time I take the ACT in September.

Bumpbumpbump

as stated, score ~1950+ for sat’s and you’re golden.

Your EC’s are good, but I don’t know enough about BBYO to say anything. Class rank looks good, I would say you are a high match for BU, especially with you strong Debate EC. As always, however, a high SAT and ACT score would do a lot to help your application.

Hope that helped, chance me back please :)

thanks! I’ll chance ya. And BBYO is an international Jewish youth organization that aims to help young jews acquire leadership skills and be involved in community service.

Ah I see. How well known is it? If it’s as well known (or almost as well known) as, say, CSF/NHS, I think you’ll do really well.

I’d say it is fairly well known. Especially in the Jewish community. So hopefully it’ll help my chances.

If you get above 2000 on your SAT you will be solid for both schools!!! You have a bunch of EC’s which is awesome and you class rank is swell too. Just make sure you have a solid SAT score and if you want, take the act again. Good luck on teh whole application process!!! :] :] :]

Chance me back? Appreciate it! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1196513-chances-will-chance-back-promise.html

I definitely will. But do you all think I still have a decent chance even if I were not able to raise my ACT or get a better SAT?

It all depends, even though those are low scores you have a good class rank, so it seems like a weak region (no offense intended). I know most schools have ‘quotas’ for each region, if you’re in the top of your region you should do well. I think that it will be easy for you to raise SAT though, considering your grades.
