<p>Hey guys! I'm currently a junior and I'm looking at:
High-reach: Columbia, UPenn, UChicago
Mid-reach: Duke, Emory, Northwestern, Vanderbilt
Safeties: Two state schools (I'd rather not disclose for safety concerns)</p>

<p>Thinking about BC and John Hopkins as well, but most likely won't apply there.</p>

<p>GPA: My school only weighs grades on 100 scale, so on the 4.0 scale, I'd have a 4.0 W/UW. Does this make sense? Anyways, just know that all my grades have been 93+ unweighted.

<p>I am incredibly jealous of those SAT scores. I tried so hard to get an 800 on my math and only ended up with a 760! Ahhh well.</p>

<p>You have an honest shot at your reaches. Ever hear of Earthwatch? I went to one of their fully paid programs and the scientists I worked with were professors at UPenn. The researchers you work with almost always write recs so look into it if you have time. </p>

<p>I think you might be underestimating yourself. Your match schools could be your safety schools. However, don’t let that get to your head. I’m just a random person on the internet. Always strive for the best but be prepared for the worst.</p>

<p>I think you have a really good shot at colubmia, penn, and uchicago - definitely not ‘high’ reaches.</p>

<p>Definitely have decent chances… If I were you I’d definitely consider going ED/EA to your top choice…</p>
