could you calculate your gpa for us? (I’m lazy…)

un weighted is like 3.7-3.8, weighted is like 4.4ish

I think your safety schools are equal to some people’s reach schools. not that I don’t think you can’t get into them, but maybe you should also apply somewhere that admits more than 60% of its apps. also, maybe nyu is less of a reach than that, and I think you would be a good fit for uva. I’m not too sure about the other schools at this point because my brain has turned to much from reading all these chance posts…

bump bump bump anyone?

Hey! I am an alumni of Penn, class of 2000, MBI from Wharton in 2004, and I’ve done alumni interviews for the last couple of years. I think you have a great chance of all your schools! I’ve seen tons of my interviewees make it to Penn with worse grades/SATs. Just make your voice shine through in your application, and you’ll be a sure bet!

How many times have you seen that one before on this website? The fact is, you might or might not have believed that whole first paragraph, but the majority of CCers would have. The point is, NOBODY on this website can tell you you’re chances of acceptance. If you would ask me, truthfully I would tell you you do have a good chance at almost all of them, but I don’t have a clue what I am talking about! Because I don’t work in college admissions! Most people who post on “chance” threads have even less of a clue than I do!

Don’t worry about it. Go on a date or something. At least have some fun, because nothing people say on here will help you whatsoever (except for this post… I hope)

bump bump bump

please chance me, ill chance back!

Pick your favorite reach and apply ED.

UPenn: REACH
UChicago: A killer essay and reach!
UColumbia: REACH (Luckily you have your dad there!)

NYU Stern, University of Virginia (McIntire School of Commerce), Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon CAS or Tepper, Boston College,Georgetown (McDonaugh),UMichigan : REACH!!

University of Maryland College Park, Rutgers University-New Brunswick: Don’t even think about them!

@alwaysleah, i think im going to apply Columbia ED and UChicago EA

I think that you have a decent chance ate: UChicago, Columbia (SEAS) University of Virginia.
And you should have really great chances at: Carnegie Mellon, Boston College, UMichigan
University of Maryland College Park, Rutgers University-New Brunswick. :)

Definitely apply to your reaches, and make sure you detail the family situation in your essays or under additional comments. If you kill your essays UChicago is a decent shot, and all the others (including your middle tier schools) are low-matches to reaches

chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1338240-chance-me-uofm-purdue-cmu-georgia-tech-uiuc.html

UPenn: Reach
UChicago: Low Reach
Columbia: Reach
NYU: High match
UVA: High match
For the rest your in for sure, don’t even sweat it:)

Try to join your school sports team to have even more competitive ec’s

Might also look at Colgate and Holy Cross both would fit in the mid-tier schools both have tremendous alumni networks on Wall Street.

thanks guys! and @par72 im just wondering did you go to either of those at any chance?

your stats seem good but you have nothing extracurricular. are you in any clubs at school?? please chance me!

everything seems good! but there’s no passion?

@ariaxxx and @shimkihoon what do you think my chances are for my colleges?
