I think that colleges want to hear about whatever you’re passionate about. If you really love the clubs you’ve done, that write about those. If you love the businesses you’ve worked with, then write about that. It’ll come across in the essays, believe me.

Well thanks! Maybe I’ll integrate them!
I feel like I have such a great story and I’m much more than numbers, I’m just trying to think of how I can squeeze it all in a few hundred words

I think that if you got about a 2100, you’d be good (but of course, you’d have better chances with a better SAT score). I think that your story with the Aviation club is really unique, and it will definitely help you stand out. Your GPA is low, but you have really good ECs, so that will definitely help! Overall, I think that you’re in good standing, but you should try to get a safety school or two, just in case!

edit Oops I forgot to include the “Chance me back?” part.

Chance me back? Also, I included the other colleges that I’m looking at in the latest post on the thread, so if you could chance those too, that’d be great!

Thanks so much! And yes, I have A&M as a safety, and that’s somewhere I wouldn’t mind going. Thanks for you opinion, hopefully my scores will go up with the release of the new scores. If not, I’m focusing on ACT

Bump for opinions

Bumper cars!

Bump10char

Come onnnn

Bumping it all up in here! :P

Last bump of the night- Come on people! :D

Bump one more time!

don’t do that >:O
what do low and high reach mean? how exactly does compare to match?

Your GPA and SAT are going to be somewhat problematic for very top schools. 2000-2100 is very good, but not that special and same with 3.6 GPA. However your extracurriculars are amazing. Given your conditions I say if you get past the grade check and maybe even not, then you have a good shot at getting in.

So… gonna assume low = easier, high = harder reach unless someone says otherwise
Tulane - match
UT - low reach
Rice - low-mid reach
UCB - high reach
Georgia tech - mid reach
Stanford, Yale, Cornell - highest reach. idk about getting past with the GPA but maybe. Don’t give up though you will definitely have chances.
Duke - high reach
USC - match
U Miami - match
Amherst - low reach

dunno about the others
