I know most of these are reaches, are there other safties you could recommend?

Your EC’s are excellent, but your UW GPA is a bit on the low side for some of those schools like Duke, GW, etc. About half of them are reaches, and the other half are target schools, but I don’t know enough about most of them to accurately chance you.

Check mine out if you get the chance, it’s a few posts up from this one on the “College Chances” forum page

I can say with confidence you really dont have anything to worry about with any of these schools! All of your stats look excellent! Test scores and ECs are great. I’d say your are a VERY solid applicant. Best of luck to you!
**Please chance back!

You’ve got good stats. The only thing is your GPA seems low but I mean if you took everything you could at your school then you should be fine since colleges will see that. I agree that some like Duke and Tufts are reaches, but schools like Clark and UNC Chapel Hill (because you’re in state) shouldn’t be a problem. Here’s mine!

I’d say your GPA is a bit low, but you would still have a good shot at GW, Duke, NC. Dartmouth may be a reach, but it is for most people anyway. Maybe think about Wake Forest?

Although your GPA seems a little low (I wouldn’t worry if I were you if that’s because you took the most rigorous classes the school offered), your SAT score is good and EC is outstanding. I think you have a solid resume. Duke and Dartmouth are reaches, I would say.

Your test scores are great and I don’t think the GPA will be an issue with the rigor of your course load (i’m assuming you have taken multiple AP’s/honors courses) UNC looks like a good fit and the Bucknell legacy may help a good amount

Never met a Quaker! What do you think Quakers focus on in the Bible? I’m not really sure! (Sorry if it’s offensive, but I love learning about different types of Christianity)

Your stats are awesome! The GPA UW is a bit low, but it does not matter too much.

The service trip to Ecuador sounds interesting! Be sure to mention it in your essays if you thought it was life-changing/important to you. If you do so, make sure you reflect on HOW it changed you.

Hi Skyrior! Thanks for your imput. Quakers have highly varying approaches to the Bible, it kind of depends on who you ask. For the most part though, we see it as a valuable source of wisdom, but not as any sort of final authority. Other religious texts are seen to be valuable to many friends as well. Some friends don’t care much about the bible at all. All knowledge and wisdom, I believe, should be considered within the context of other sources, including the Light Within and community worship.
