<p>Hi, I am a junior attending an American curriculum based international school in Korea. </p>

<p>Please give me advice on what I can do to improve my EC's and other stuff. I am hoping to major in either English linguistics of Biology. I know they're two different things but still I like them both. </p>

<p>GPA: 3.95~8 ( unweighted)
4.31 (weighted)
ACT: -- not going to take it
SAT: I am taking the real one in January but on practice tests I almost always get 1300~1370 on the English sections and 680~770 on math sections. I guess I get around 2000 and 2100s at most? I will take it 2 more times. Hope it improves by then. </p>

<p>SAT II: going to take bio,chem, and lit </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
school orchestra for 3 years and I will continue on- lead cello
played piano and cello for over 10 years
took ABRSM and got over 15 cello, piano, musicianship merit/distinction music certificates
in NHS
Student council executive for 2 years
in MUN- won best delegate award
in cross country
over 300 volunteer hours- working in hospitals, labs, orphanages, schools
in newsletter club - got top article </p>

<p>APS:
AP World history -5 - in sophomore year
currently taking AP LIT, AP BIO, AP Psych
will take AP Chem, AP Lang, AP Calc</p>

<p>Our school is a small school so we don't have honor classes. </p>

top 2% </p>

<p>I know things are still uncertain because I have not taken much standardized tests. But please chance me!</p>

<li><p>Check out each university’s SAT percentiles: Google [university name]+[“SAT”]. Be sure you at least meet the 25th percentile for each section if you want a decent shot at the universities. To consider a school a match, at least get 75th percentile for each section.</p></li>
<li><p>Your book sounds interesting! Be sure to talk about it in your essays if it’s of particular importance to you. Make sure you analyze how the book shows what type of personality you are.</p></li>
<li><p>I recommend moving UC Berkeley to Dream for now.</p></li>
