@AriMer24 What about Bentley, colgate, NYU and the non-ivys? If you don’t know them that’s alright. Thanks anyways.

Columbia University - Reach
Northwestern University - Low Reach/High Match even?
UPenn Wharton (possible rec from the interviewer - I know him personally) - Reach/Low Reach if rec
NYU Stern (alumni rec from a general NYU alumni) - High Match
UMichigan Ross (alumni rec - big donor) - High-ish Match
Fordham, Bentley, Babson, BU, Northeastern, Colgate - I’m positive you’ll get in.

If you improve your ACT score and your GPA is a bit higher, you’d have amazing chances for every school on your list, especially with your relative extracurriculars and achievements. You have a lot of good connections for your rec letters. Good luck with apps!

thanks for ‘chancing’ me… I’m not too sure how to do this, but here goes:

your numerous leadership positions are quite impressive and your work experiences give you a good chance at several of the schools you mentioned. like everyone else said, the ivies are reaches, because well, they are ivys after all.

good luck :)

Thanks!

You’re most likely going to be accepted into all the colleges on this list, but Columbia and Wharton may be reaches. You’ll have no problem getting accepted into BU, Northeastern, Babson, Fordham, Colgate, and Bentley. Excellent extracurricular activities, but your standardized testing (ACT) is a bit on the low side. Good luck on the SAT and ACT when you take them!

Chance me back please?

Thanks!

NYU is definitely possible. My Aunt’ father is the dean. I don’t know anything about Colgate and Bentley.

i think you can get into NYU.
My aunt’s father was just named dean of the school and I honk you have

I do not know him well though. I only know what applications look good

@ht1997. The reason I think Babson is a “reach” for you is that many schools that are a tier or two below the IVY level want to keep their yield high. Yield is used by college ratings services as a measure of selectivity. So the higher the yield, the more selective the college… If you look at some of the 2013 Babson acceptance threads, kids with 32/33 ACT and tons of ECs were not getting in for EA. You are teetering on getting into schools which will be reaches for you, but Babson may not want to accept you thinking that if you applied to your reach school, you would get in. A college really wants to think that they are your #1. I saw this at my school last year. I go to a college prep school (80 kids per class) where every year we have at least 10 National Merits and our average ACT score is a 30. We had kids with ACT’s of 35 and all the other creds needed to get into the IVYs, but were turned down, and to add insult to injury, they were turned down from their match schools (Northwestern, Middlebury, etc) because those schools thought that they those students would negatively affect their yields. So, to make a long post even longer, don’t assume a match or safety school see you the same way they did just 10 years ago. It is rough our there! Damned if you do apply, damned if you don’t. Good Luck!
