Chance me, I'll chance back?

two colleges I'm applying to are Northwestern University and UIC GPPA Medicine

STATS
GPA:3.96 unweighted, 4.25 weighted (hoping for 4.3 by the time I apply)
ACT:34 (retaking for 35)

Varsity Cheerleader
Piano IMTA levels 1-9
National Honors Society
Latin Honors Society
Freshman year tennis team
200+ community service hours at nursing homes, care centers, etc.

Will shadow a physician during the summer

If I get into NU, I'm applying to medical school after undergraduate, but if I can't get in, then UIllinois at Urbana would be my last resort

Since you’re applying to med schools, you might want to take on an easier school for a higher GPA. NU is an extremely tough school academically, especially if you’re pre-med, but they do have sky-high medical school acceptance rates. I think you’d have a very good shot at UIUC, but I don’t know how selective their medicine program is. Most NU applicants have similar stats to yours, so that’s a toss-up. Good luck!

I agree with rawtheekuh

Chance back please

you talk about “by the time I apply” so, are you a junior?
If so, try getting more leadership–maybe in cheerleading since that seems to be a strong point?
but anyway, I’d say you def have a chance. good luck!

You’ve got a really great shot. I’d be surprised if you got rejected

Chance back!

I feel like Northwestern would be a low reach, and I don’t know anything about UIUC. (I’m from Southern California).

Chance me back?

I think you got a pretty good chance gettin into NWU, but I don’t know much about the other school…sry…the only weakness I see is your ECs, they r not bad, but more would be better…

chance me?

Hi, I’m 15 years old and am currently a junior. I have a 3.5 gpa and took the ACT for practice/just to see how it’d go with no prep in December and got a 25 (( I am retaking it again and hope to get a 28-30 hopefully! I am Junior Class President, heavily involved in Student Council, Part of NHS-going to be an officer next year, actively involved in Key Club and voleenteer countless hours. I am also an active voleenteer in my church. I was selected for leadership in my schools conference. I have taken challenging classes my whole high school career and took 2 AP Classes this year and am taken 3 next year. I also job shadow my dentist. I want to be a dentist or an oral surgeon and am applying for UIC this June early admission. Do you think I can get in with my current stats? I am praying so because it is the only school that tuition is reasonable and yet offers a strong medical field. I have also been on varsity tennis for 3 years and varsity track for 3 years. I hope to appear well rounded. Thank you for reading this and taking the time to answer, I appreciate it very much as I come from a middle-class family and do not have many options for college due to my low gpa and only a couple schools offer pre-dental in Illinois and their tuition is well out of my range. Thanks once again!*
