Yeah now that I think about it it’s more like a mid-high reach. If you want unc to be a match then you need to raise you sat, gpa and write outstanding essays

I plan on it xD !!! My essays will be BA! Writing is something I can do while running a marathon so I’m not too worried about the essays but yeah, NC State is a med reach I guess.

Duke, UNC, Wake Forest… you would need at least 2100+ on the SAT to have a chance to get in. Well, maybe 1900-2000 for UNC.
NC State raising it to like 550 average each will help you. Greensboro and Appalachian I believe you’re in.

Wake, UNC and Duke are pretty much out for you. You basically have no chance at them. NC State is a maybe, if you do well this semester and get you SAT higher. App. St, ECU and Greensboro are matches. You should do fine there.

Your gpa would actually put you in range for any of the state schools if only you could get your SAT scores up in the 600 range - that includes Chapel Hill.
As far as Wake and Duke go, I’m afraid you’re not in the range for either. If you’re a minority and/or you have interesting extra-curriculars, you might have a fighting shot at WT, but I don’t think you can get into Duke even on a good day - don’t be discouraged, most kids can’t.
I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks you all for your advice and input! I know Duke is a long shot and I would NEVER get in. Are you all fro north Carolina? I’m curious because I would love to keep you up to date if you want? Maybe ask for advice as well :3

Duke and Wake are pretty much out for you. You might be able to get into UNC if you get your SAT scores into the 670+ range. Everywhere else shouldn’t be too bad.

Well, my grades aren’t bad, but I wasn’t a very good student in 9th grade and I made a lot of Cs is all. I’m hoping this year to dramatically improve I guess
