You sound phenomenal. I think you have a really job chance. Ivys are always unpredictable, but I think you have a very competitive application. Apply to them all, and make sure they know how badly you want to attend, that is a huge factor. Good luck!! Chance me back :)

You are definitely academically qualified. The guitar is impressive. The internship and being head of the music program are also impressive, however, that doesn’t necessarily relate to your major. It is still impressive though. The only thing is I don’t see many ECs relating to your major. I think you have a solid shot though!

Thanks everyone! Bump

Bump 10 char

Duke seems to be match since their ED rate of acceptance is so high. As for UChicago, Amherst and Dartmouth, I think they are reaches simply because of their very large applicant pool and the fact that they are so competitive, but I think you do have chances for them. Northwestern may be a high match, low reach while Rice is high match. You really like guitar and I would stress that you would write about them in your supplements, but I’m sure you already know that. Best of luck!

Oh man, I am jealous of you… looking good for Duke.

Wow very interesting EC’s! Also, very strong all around.

I know it’s been awhile - just thought I’d provide some updates. Deferred to Duke, we’ll see this thursday.

Waitlisted at UChicago, UVA, Davidson, and Rice. Hopefully this week will have better news.
