Chance me! I'll return the favor

Yeah I'm pretty average - sucks to be me!

SAT I: 2050 (CR:760 M:610 W:680) <- Math = FAIL
SAT II: US History: 800, Biology: 790, Literature: 730
GPA: 4.47 weighted, don't quite know unweighted
Course load throughout high school/senior year: most rigorous
APs: Biology (5), US History (5), English Language (5), World History (4)...taking English Lit, Government, French, and Calculus this year

My SAT scores kind of suck...
My ECs are lackluster

ECs:
Quizbowl
Science Club (Science Olympiad too)
Class President, Class officer
President of French Club
Varsity Basketball
Community Service

Honors:
National Merit SemiFinalist
National Achievement SemiFinalist
AP Scholar With Honor

Hooks:
black, penn legacy, southern (does geography count?)

Teacher Recs: Dunno didn't read them
Essays: eh....def could have been better
Counselor Rec: decent

Colleges:
Harvard (ha!)
Yale (deferred SCEA - surprised it wasn't rejection!)
UPenn
Brown
Boston University
NYU
UVA
University of Rochester
Johns Hopkins

NYU,UVA,and University of Rochester look pretty good the rest are some nice reaches

Harvard (ha!) - no one is getting in here.
Yale (deferred SCEA - surprised it wasn't rejection!) - Same thing as Harvard.
UPenn - Probably a rejection, but don't let that stop you from applying.
Brown - Same thing as Penn.
Boston University - in
NYU - Your scores make you a perfect fit here but depends on the rest of your application ( read: essay).
UVA - in
University of Rochester - in
Johns Hopkins - I would say fair shot (50-50).

Overall, improve your scores a lil' bit and your chances would go up considerably everywhere. Great SAT II's btw. Your essay will make the difference. CHANCE ME!!!

You should be more confident in your standings, from what I can see they're definitely ABOVE average at the least, unless you're just fishing for compliments (but I'm sure that's not the case :))

You definitely have a record of leadership, some great grades and scores except the SAT and let's face it, being black isn't going to hurt you one bit. I'd say, as usual, Harvard, Yale, Brown and Penn are going to be tough, but definitely don't count them out, because I know people less qualified than you that got into them. (Make sure you write an amazing essay for Brown, because theirs are notorious for being a doozy. ) I'd say BU is an in, U Rochester an in, and UVA an in. NYU is pretty competitive, but I think you're a match, and Johns Hopkins depends strongly on what program you're applying for...you probably won't get into their med school but in terms of general admissions you're probably a decent reach. Don't worry about a thing, you're DEFINITELY getting into somewhere!

Now chance me, if you wouldn't mind! I'm trying for Washington University in St. Louis...:/

You have a strong chance at NYU, UVA, and Hopkins. Definately in at BU and I'm not really familiar with University of Rochester. The rest are crapshoots.

I don't know how to post a link, but my thread is on the first page haha.

Ivies are upredictable, and they are a high reach for you, although Penn legacy might help you a bit.

BU- In
Rochester- In
Everywhere else- Match
