Chance me? I'm a junior.

Hi guys,

I'm a junior, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me my chances for getting into The University of Notre Dame?

GPA - 4.45 W (4.78 this semester)
I'll have 9 APs by the time I graduate. (Gov, Comparative gov, Lit, Language, Stat, US history, French, Psychology, Euro)
I've taken all the AP/honors classes available since freshman year.
I attend a small competitive private school.
I haven't takent the SAT yet, but I got a 200 on the PSAT.

Extracurriculars:
Club soccer, JV soccer, Literary magazine, French club, intern at my local GOP headquarters during 2010 election, intern at my local US Congress member's office, March of Dimes Youth Council, Girls Service Club, Ambassador (I help tour new students at my school), State math competition participant, Youth and Government, Mock Trial, National French Honor Society, Piano (7 years), and I've been nominated for and applied to Governor's School for French

Please let me know what you think my chances are! Please be honest! Let me know if there is anything I can improve or anything else I should be doing! Thanks!

bummmmpppppp

I’m gonna guess you want to be a poli sci major? I’d say your on the right track, just do well on your SAT and you will definitely have a shot at ND, no guarentees or anything though

I say 50-50. Maybe a little lower.

I think you have a good chance on your current credentials. Obviously your rank will play a big part because maybe the kids in your school have the same stats as you/are better. If you get ~2100 on the SAT I’d say it’d be a low reach for you (if you’re in the Top 10 percent of your class). Also your ECs are sort of all over the place. The only sort of semblance of coherence is with the government work. Maybe this summer you could do something rathe ‘big’ having to do with that? I mean you’ve done the two internships but maybe you’d want to do something with someone that would give you a recommendation. Also you might want to look into Close Up, it looks great and is fun if you’re actually interested in politics. Good luck!!
Sorry, I forgot to add that I do intend to major in poli sci. Also, my school doesn’t rank, it does quintiles, and I am in the first quintile (top 20%). Although, if I had to guess I would definitely say I’m in the top 10%.

If you do well on tests, you definately have a chance.

you’re looking pretty good. try to get your SAT higher than PSAT equivalent, maybe take some SATIIs. if you do wanna be a poli sci major then make sure to demonstrate interest there through the SATIIs you choose to take.
if you’re on Varsity for those sports senior year (which, if you’re in a small private school, probably isn’t much of a stretch) then that will be good
you’re definitely on the right track. but you haven’t really done enough for me to give an accurate chance this early on. maybe once you take SAT stuff I could give a better chance and if you listed AP scores
also, please list your ethnicity and geographic location
right now I’d give roughly 65%, but I’m missing vital info for chancing

I haven’t taken any AP exams yet. But I’m a white female from NC and I’m not catholic.

I think you’re in good shape to be a competitive applicant to ND. It’s hard to judge now though but if you score above a 2100 I think you would have a really good chance.

bummppp…anyone else?

Not bad. Make sure your SAT is a lot better than your PSAT though. 2000 (Your PSAT times 10) would be too low on the SAT.
