<p>vandy isn't "recruiting" for jews anymore.. it got MUCH more competitive this year. the applications went up 30% for ED1 round so the admit rate was down significantly from the early admit rate in years past.. i had a 1320 SAT or 2020 and a 90/100 gpa from a tough private school, took all the hardest classes including an extra major course.. sent in an art portfolio and all that.. and was rejected ED round one. despite the fact that 2 kids from my school with equivalent gpas and sat scores to mine were BOTH accepted ED last year. oh and the other kid in my grade who applied ED this year was also denied. vanderbilt breaks hearts.. it just got a lot more competitive this year, not to discourage you but i want you to have realistic expectations so you can prepare for it</p>
<p>thanks for your input. I was concerned to begin with though because they already admitted six people from my school ed1. I guess well just wait and see haha</p>
