ACT?
College suggestions?
Other recommendations on increasing my chances? PLEASE

I think based on your grades and scores, you have a good chance of getting accepted. I would try to still improve your sat scores (although they are very good!) because your GPA/class rank are kind of low. Also, I hope you clean up your college application from this because it seems really unorganized and overwhelming. But overall you seem like a very motivated, active person who does well academically, so you have a good chance of getting accepted.

Thank you! I want to show the colleges that I am active and motivated in my college essays. Glad to hear you know what kind of person I am just by looking at this! Gives me a sense of what and how I should write in my college applications.

raise your test scores. What happened on the ACT? Were your scores consistent?

How about the French subject test? Take a practice test at home and if you can easily clear 700…

ACT… 34 math 33 science 31 writing…19 reading… I have no idea what happened reading went from 25 to 19 I thought it would increase and I was getting excited for a near 32

lulz i’ve seen all your chance threads across the boards… why the important??

But, as people have said in all of the other threads, very low chance until you raise SAT or ACT. Once that happens, though, you’ll be competitive

Just want to make sure is 2080 equivalent to 31 on the ACT really that bad of a score that I will only have a low chance at the most? I just wanted to make sure if 2080 or a 2200 is going to make a huge difference because that is only about 5 questions more correct…

A 2080 puts you in Dartmouth’s lowest ~quartile. From a purely numbers perspective, it is ALWAYS better to be above the mean, which is 2200+. (Dartmouth’s top quartile is 2370.) The point is that there are plenty of unhooked applicants who do get 5+ more questions correct.

I agree with most people above: your scores are your obvious weakness. A 600 in CR is really low for D, and would result in your being “invited” to take extra writing classes freshman year. The only CC kid I recall seeing get in over the past 3 years or so with a 29 on the ACT was a recruited football player. You definitely need to work on bringing your CR score up. Your chem score is also low for D. I agree with BunsenBurner: try the French test. Your stats picture would benefit from another SATII score over 700.

Have you taken any AP exams, and if so, how did you do?

You seem like an enthusiastic and engaging person. I’d consider sending an arts supplement: a CD for cello and a DVD for dance (if you can). Also consider getting additional recommendations from your private cello teacher or a conductor, and from your dance world. You could also think about asking a friend from your dance team to do your peer rec.
