Major:Computer Science

UIUC
UCLA
USC
U WASHINGTON SEATTLE
PURDUE
PENN STATE
WISCONSIN MADISON

pls suggest some more also .... and tell me my chances....

All are really good matches. But you have to remember that they are all public schools so they’ll give priority to in state students. Only one that may be a low reach could be UCLA.

@Dhruv97‌ i know ive kept ucla as a dream!
international applicant just btw

No funding is available for OOS or international students at most public schools. Your SAT score is too low for UCLA.

UCLA’S average ACT scores are 25-31; his 1890 SAT score is about a 28 ACT which would fall in the middle of UCLA’s average

plus i gave ACT also and got a 29 but unfortunately i screwed up reading so bad that it went below benchmark! Ny counsellor said dont report if one is below benchmark

International students have to have higher scores to be considered. Additionally, the averages tend to include the scores from the local high schools that have “pacts” with UCLA to be admitted because of school and coursework.

My experience with my children’s classmates and my own students suggests that the OP needs at least a 2200 to be seriously considered. My son got in with 2300+, as did about 10 of his classmates with 2200 to 2400.
Making the bare minimum will not be a strong application. Just my opinion and experience.

And, UCLA receives over 100k applications. They weed out applications by looking at test scores and GPA. They do reject some students with perfect SATs, but all schools do. If You want to stay with an average SAT score, consider that you will be compared with your countrymen who may have better scores.

guys i know my score is really low but there are times when universities be unpredictable and take in students with low scores too! Having givem this some thought i was thinking may be apply to CMU!
Also i have added rutgers maryland indiana bloomington and minnesota twin cities!

Okay. CMU is the hardest school possible to get into among your lists. CMU does care about a little(just a little) more about SAT thanGPA and honestly its a high reach for you. The only time the universities take in low score and gpa students is when students are recruited athletes, legacy, or with truly outstanding essays, interview, and extracurriculars.

So i got into purdue! what are the odds of getting into uiuc or ucla?

Maybe UIUC almost no chance UCLA.

You may have a chance at UCLA, just not as a computer science major.

What about usc?
