I have been accepted to GA Tech. I am waiting for UPenn and NYU.
As with Ivy League schools, it’s always hard to tell. They’re trying to build a well-rounded class and each student is like the puzzle piece to the Class of 2023. If they deem you a fit, they’ll admit you!
You’re definitely diverse and have great extracurriculars - if that shines in your essays, I think you’re good to go. But it’s always a random picking so it’s hard to say yes or no now. Hang tight- less than 2 weeks to go!
But hey, if all else does not work out, Georgia Tech is a great school.
Keeping in mind that the actual admissions rate for international students at elite schools like UPenn is significantly lower than the overall rate listed below, and given the following:
UPenn SAT 25th percentile 1420, 75th percentile 1560, admissions rate 8%
GTech SAT 25th percentile 1330, 75th percentile 1520, admissions rate 23%
NYU SAT 25th percentile 1290, 75th percentile 1490, admissions rate 27%
You have a reasonable shot at NYU, and for UPenn, not so much.
